New Milestone for Seeach Sod

At the recent conference of principals held our new building, there was an exhibit displaying newspaper articles that described milestones in the history of Seeach Sod. CEO Rav Shimon Levy led a panel on the topic “Pay Attention to the Soul,” joined by social worker Avraham Bengo and educational advisor R’ Neta Kenig.

 

Preparations for the Opening of a Third Apartment in Beit Shemesh

The girls who will be living in the new apartment joined together to shop for furniture. The girls’ mothers joined the trip, the motto of which was “self-advocacy” – the final decisions lay in the hands of the residents themselves, and the furniture was chosen according to their personal taste.

Mothers’ Breakfast at Maoz Yerushalayim

Mothers of students joined together for a special morning at Maoz Yerushalyim, where they had an opportunity to learn, discuss, and enjoy as a group. The morning was opened by Mrs. Maya Goldman, psychotherapist and social worker, who spoke about giving autonomy to girls with disabilities.

Continuing Education for Administrators

On Tu B’Shvat, Seeach Sod administrators gathered together for a day of lectures and discussion. The event took place in our new building on Rechov Chakimi in Bayit Vegan, providing an opportunity for staff to get a glimpse of the facility that will soon serve our talmud Torah and yeshivot.

Experiential Learning at Otzar Yerushalayim  

The students at Talmud Torah Otzar Yerushalayim crossed the Red Sea and gathered mann in their recent parashat hashavua class, and the experiential learning created a deeper connection between the students and the subject matter.

Special Breakfast for English-Speaking Mothers

On Rosh Chodesh Shevat, English-speaking mothers of students in Seeach Sod’s programs met for a special breakfast at Café Angel on Rechov Kanfei Nesharim. They presented a plaque to the manager of the restaurant, Ms. Yonit Nehorai, in gratitude for her hospitality.

Expansion and Building at Seeach Sod

Seeach Sod is happy to announce a significant development in the expansion of our network of educational institutions with the transfer of a large and spacious building for our use in the Jerusalem neighborhood of Bayit Vegan.

 

New group home at Seeach Sod!

Seeach Sod recently held a housewarming party for our newest group home. This apartment is unique among Seeach Sod's group homes, in that it prepares its inhabitants for a completely independent life in the community. The party itself was organized with this in mind, with the inhabitants planning the party down to the last details, and preparing the snacks!

Continuing the Legacy

Last week from Sunday to Tuesday the staff and Mothers of Seeach Sod shared a lovely time in the Gai Beach Hotel in Tiberias. There were various activities and interesting events.
