A group of senior officials from the Ministry of Social Affairs arrived early Thursday morning to tour Seeach Sod's frameworks and explore the emergency procedures in place. Ms. Ben-Gie, Mr. Danny Katz, and Ms. Regev first visited Seeach Sod's "Savyon" respite program, where they met children from Southern Israel who have been unable to return to their homes since Succos, as well as other children and adults in the program, in separate groups.

From there, the group moved to the day centers, where Rabbi Shimon Levy, Seeach Sod's CEO, described the unique work currently done in Seeach Sod's different programs.

"There is no question," said Rabbi Levy, "that right now family members of people with disabilities are dealing with increased difficulty. The daily routine that is disrupted and handling the child or adult with special needs often brings families to a place where they need our help, as a society that is judged by its conduct during hard times. The Ministry of Social Affairs has fully mobilized – and still is – and is putting special focus on the population of people with disabilities. We appreciate this backing and try to move it forward, to the amazingly dedicated staff. They are displaying devotion that cannot be described in words."

The officials joined an organizational meeting in Seeach Sod's offices, where they expressed their admiration for what they saw. In Ms. Ben-Gie's words, "Times of distress follow regular times. If, during regular times, an organization prepares itself and functions properly, it will function beautifully during emergency times too, as we see here. We are filled with admiration for your teams that we saw in inspiring action today. You are holding up the world."
