Pirchei Seeach Choir

The members of Seeach Sod’s Pirchei Seeach Choir are men with disabilities from Seeach Sod’s vocational programs and yeshivot.

The choir aims to give its members the opportunity to express their talents, at the same time that it promotes inclusion and integration in the community.

The Pirchei Seeach Choir was founded in 2008 in order to give students with musical ability the chance to develop their talents. In 2012, the choir was awarded the Shalem Foundation Prize.

Thus far, the choir has produced six albums, in addition to their performances at a wide range of public events. The choir has performed alongside numerous famous Jewish singers, including Mordechai ben David, Lipa Shmeltzer, Chazan Chaim Adler, Zanvil Weinberger, and Mendy Jerufi.

In January 2020, the choir performed at siyum hashas celebrations throughout Israel. Their participation in these events attests that every member of Am Yisrael has a part in the Torah. The fact that the choir performed at the central stage of Orthodoxy reflects on the community’s acceptance of those who are different.

The members of the choir, who work or learn during the day, all take part in daf yomi classes. During their free time, the members practice and perform together.

Some of their past performances include:

Siyum HaShas, Orna Stadium, Jerusalem, 2020

Siyum HaShas, Binyanei HaUmah, Jerusalem, 2020

Ahavas HaTorah” clip, 2019

When the Abishter looks down tonight and sees all kind of Jews celebrating the study of Torah – including Jews for whom it is may be very difficult, like these young men from Seeach Sod – and when He sees that they are singing about how much they love to learn Torah, He turns to His melachim and declares, “Chazu banai chavivai! Look at my dear children, who set aside their difficulties in order to learn my precious Torah!”
