Rav and Mayor of Bnei Brak Participate in Mesibat Hodaya of a Young Man with Disabilities

On Tuesday, 12 Kislev, Rav Landau shlita, Rav of Bnei Brak, and Rav Avraham Rubinstein, mayor of Bnei Brak, joined many others at a special mesibat hodaya held in one of Seeach Sod’s Supported Housing apartments in the city. The mesiba was held to celebrate the recuperation of one of the residents after a prolonged illness. All of those who participated were deeply moved by the event.

Rav Shimon Levy, CEO of Seeach Sod, welcomed the important guests and thanked them for joining the celebration. “Your participation in a mesibat hodaya of a young man with disabilities from Seeach Sod has a tremendous impact on the integration of individuals with disabilities in Charedi society. The more that respected individuals serve as role models for integration and acceptance of individuals with disabilities, the more the community as a whole is accepting – leading to true integration on the bus, in the grocery store, in shul, and in all other locations of possible interaction.”

Rav Landau was introduced to Seeach Sod’s activities in Yerushalayim, Bnei Brak, and Beit Shemesh, which serve individuals with disabilities from infancy until old age, and specifically to the Supported Housing network in Bnei Brak. He spoke to and encouraged each of the residents of the apartment. Rav Landua and Mayor Rubinstein spoke at the festive meal and thanked the apartment staff for their tireless commitment.

Rav Levy thanked the mayor for his outstanding support of efforts on behalf of individuals with disabilities, including his assistance towards Seeach Sod, with the goal of providing more services to these individuals in Bnei Brak.
