The fathers, some of whom never imagined their sons would be capable of learning and understanding Torah, derived tremendous nachas, observing firsthand their sons’ achievements.
The learning session was graced with the honored presence of Harav Avraham Y. Schlesinger, the Rav of Geneva, who came to partake in the experience. After having been deeply moved several months ago by the experience of davening Shachris in the Kollel Chazon Dov minyan, Rav Schlesinger returned again to take part in this uplifting erev Shavuos experience. The Rav inspired and encouraged the talmidim and their fathers with passionate words of chizuk.
“The Torah was given to every single Jewish soul”, the Rav told the boys, encouraging them to keep up their precious Torah study and thus give nachas to the Almighty.
