Life Skills Training Apartments

When a modest news story was published, followed by a sign-up announcement, a wave of demand for training apartments catering to yeshiva students with ASD was drawn. This new project, in collaboration with the Ministry of Welfare, was founded following Seeach Sod’s resounding success running their general training apartments.

This week, the women from the vocational program had the honor of setting the tables at the Beis Yisrael Hall for the sheva berachot of the grandchild of the Gerrer Rebbe!

Professional Development in Beit Shemesh

The staff of the day-hab centers in Beit Shemesh recently had a professional development day, at which they heard from Oshrit Kamir (occupational therapist) and Chana Briskin (speech therapist), who offered group and individual instruction regarding how to provide the best service possible.

 

Events for Male and Female Staff

Nearly 100 female staff members recently enjoyed a staff vacation at the Kinar hotel. The three-day getaway included interesting programing, exciting trips, and relaxation for the body and soul. On the first night, there was a fascinating panel discussion run by staff members from Seeach Sod’s schools.

Dedication of Another Residence in the Supported Housing Program in Beit Shemesh

Seeach Sod recently dedicated another residence as part of its Supported Housing Program in Beit Shemesh. Deputy Mayor Rina Hollander and Director of the Welfare Department Gila Ronen took part in the ceremony.

Improving Communication at Beit Metzudot

In another innovative initiative at Beit Metzudot to make the surroundings suit the needs of the student body, a communication board was recently posted in the courtyard to enable students to communicate even when relaxing and having fun.

A Very Special Haggadah – Illustrated by the Children and Adults of Seeach Sod

Seeach Sod is proud to present the results of a unique project – a Haggadah illustrated by the children and adults in our programs.

Personalized Attention

In response to a particularly difficult period for Racheli as a result of her sister’s illness, the staff produced a special recreational program to raise her spirits. They created a game for her iPad in which she matches the names of family members with their pictures. Racheli is thrilled!
