Ohr Somayach's

21.2.2020

On February 21st, Seeach Sod was honored to host Ohr Somayach's Ohr LaGolah program, a unique program headed by Rabbi Alter Klein in which participants learn tools to work in different capacities of Jewish education in the Diaspora. As part of the program, Rabbi Klein felt that it is crucial for the group to see how Seeach Sod is helping disabled individuals in the religious community.

The men were thrilled to hear the singing of Chazan Menachem Eisenbach, and they received a special Kohen’s bracha from Chaim Cohen, who is enfused with enormous simcha despite his many challenges. They also heard the heart-warming singing of Nati Weinstein, an autistic young man.

David Lukin, a social worker at Seeach Sod, gave an informative speech on how Seeach Sod meets the needs of every individual we serve. The group then walked to nearby Beit Metzudot, where they heard from principal Rabbi Moshe Beller about how the school is working to better the lives of severely challenged children.

There's no doubt that Ohr LaGolah members left with a deeper understanding of the special needs community.
